EDIT: Okay found a shortcut to the volume control after using search and copied that to the start menu. But I'm afraid the mysterious mystery of the volume control mysteriously vanishing from the start menu, the taskbar and the accessories folder may elude me forever. .. And that blank space is STILL THERE.
